Al "ALGON" Gonsalves passes away

I am sorry to announce the passing of Albert Gonsalves, designer and manufacturer of "ALGON" fuel injection. He was 80 years of age. He was truly a pioneer in the field of racing mechanical fuel injection. His designs and innovations helped make much of the history we experienced in many forms of racing- drags, sprints, midgets, Bonneville racing and drag boats to name but a few. He will be missed, but will always fondly remembered by all who knew him.

I would like to hear from anyone who might have some experiences with Al or his injection systems, to please share these with myself or my wife (his daughter). Scans of old photos with Al or cars with his injection would also be helpful as I believe we will be making a family memory album and these would be much appreciated.
