Years ago (In Jalopy Time) Pappy Ramos had installed a red
light on top of his radiator cap that would illuminate when he reached
full throttle. On this one night Pappy was leading the race and got spun
out and put to the rear. He was furious about the situation and was
determined to take out the guy who had spun him. Upon restart Pappy stood
on it, but it was as though the entire field new he was torqued and the
cars parted like the red sea as Pappy roared to the front. No one knew it
but he had his eyes closed at the time and Pappy ran right up the middle,
Red light glowing, and he missed everyone except the turn 1 wall!! After
the race his admitted he had closed his eyes. True Story!!
